URGENT: a 5.5 km water pipe is laid across the nesting beach of Assomption Island… (4/6)

🚨 URGENT: a 5.5 km water pipe is laid across the nesting beach of Assomption Island (Seychelles) and is blocking sea turtle movement during peak nesting season. This was revealed on January 15th during the Commission of Inquiry depositions, where @the_fish_dr and @rich_in_nature flagged this serious concern for the local sea turtle population. These depositions form part of a wider investigation into the Assomption Island development, situated just 27 km from Aldabra Atoll, a @UNESCO World Heritage Site. Experts are clear: the pipe should not be on the beach and must be removed. 👉 Swipe through the slides to see how you can take action. 📸: @evileyelander & @celinaxchien #ProtectAssomption #ProtectAldabra #Seychelles
