How many did you already know? 👀 From illustration ➡️ real life. These illustrations by @bethwalrond are inspired by the animal life living on and around Aldabra and Assomption. What’s so special about this project is that it’s truly a collective effort: 📸 photographers capturing rare moments in the wild 🔬scientists identifying and verifying species 🖌️an illustrator translating science into colour 📲 and a behind the scenes team helping turn knowledge into something shareable online. Together, they’ve made biodiversity visible, recognisable and easier to care about. 🌱 What’s next? We’re developing educational material to accompany the map, so children can learn to identify species found on Aldabra and Assomption.
