Arran Strong

Arran Strong was a professional surfer from Ericeira — Spanish-born, British, taught to surf by his mother, diagnosed with Alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency at three and open about it for the rest of his life. He surfed for Surfing England as a junior and Great Britain at the 2024 and 2025 ISA World Championships, coached, and made the Strong4Cast interview series. 1249. 2024-06-21 — Close call, I guess what doesn’t kill makes you stronger.. 3 days ago surfing I was hit by my fin in my left eye and thought I had lost my vision . Fortunately it was just a few millimeters away from my eyeball and has not affected my internal sight. The fin cut my eye lid and doctors stitched me up . Really greatful for everyone that helped get through this Doctors, Friends and family, all the messages with love towards my full recovery. Really Blessed 🙏🙌❤️
