1992. AM General sells the civilian H1 (HMMWV-derived) after Schwarzenegger demands one. $50K+. Becomes the 90s status-symbol-of-excess; spawns H2 (2002) + brand acquired by GM. Discontinued 2010, revived as EV 2022.
