The 1980 Mercedes-Benz 230 G Popemobile

A short film on the 230 G built in 1980 to carry Pope John Paul II during his visit to Germany, with a raised rear floor and a transparent dome over the Pope's bench. It was the first G-Class adapted for papal use and the vehicle that attached the 'Popemobile' name to the model.
