Todd Terry under the Royal House alias, cutting Chicago's 'Can You Feel It' and a stack of breaks into six minutes of New York sample house. It is the moment house stopped being played on machines alone and started being assembled out of other records. Terry's method came straight from hip-hop, made in the same boroughs.
