The opening segment of a gearwire interview with Vince Lawrence, who was pressing records as a teenager and co-wrote 'On and On' with Jesse Saunders before helping start Trax. He was also on stage at Comiskey Park for Disco Demolition in 1979, which makes him a direct link between disco's public burning and what Chicago built on the ashes.
