A TB-303 built in 1982 and photographed by its owner twenty-five years later, still working. Roland made the machine for three years and stopped. The surviving units are now the expensive part of a sound that was built entirely on cheap equipment: it sold for a few hundred dollars new and went for four figures secondhand within three decades.
