Jesse Saunders, whose 'On and On' in 1984 is the record most often called the first house release, talks through the pre-history: the Playground, the disco bootleg he was rebuilding, and what Chicago sounded like before there was a name for it. His claim to being first is contested, and hearing him make it is part of the record.
