Madchester: The Sound of the North

The 1990 television documentary on Manchester at the moment guitar bands and house records collided, featuring the Hacienda, 808 State, A Guy Called Gerald, Derrick May and Tony Wilson. It was made while the scene was happening rather than in retrospect, which is why the interviews are unguarded. It is also the source of most of the circulating Hacienda footage from that year.
