Mooragh Park Lake Ramsey BW
2007
Mooragh Park at Ramsey (Rhumsaa). Mooragh Camp opened on 27 May 1940 with a first intake of 823 internees and ran until September 1945. Like every Manx WWII camp it was made of requisitioned boarding houses enclosed in barbed wire rather than purpose-built compounds, and it held Nazi sympathisers and Jewish men together.
