A memorial plate for King Harald V and Queen Sonja of Norway, set into the wall of the House of Manannan at Peel in 2002. The island's Norse inheritance is real and institutional, but the Kingdom of Mann and the Isles was a Norse-Gaelic sea kingdom spanning Mann and the Hebrides, not a Norwegian outpost.
