Auschwitz Tree sign

A tree at Knockaloe grown from an acorn brought from Auschwitz, planted in recognition of internees around the world. The Second World War camps on the island held civilians, including Jewish refugees who had fled Nazi Germany and Austria and were then interned by Britain as enemy aliens.
