The Great Laxey Wheel (Lady Isabella) 🇮🇲 isle of man

The Great Laxey Wheel, named Lady Isabella after the wife of Lieutenant Governor Charles Hope. It was designed by Robert Casement, opened on 27 September 1854 before thousands of spectators, and pumped floodwater out of the Glen Mooar section of the mines.
