Level crossing near Fairy Bridge
2020
A level crossing near the Fairy Bridge at Malew. The tradition at Ballalonna is to greet the fairies when crossing, saying 'Laa mie', good day, on pain of bad luck; the custom is genuinely current, and locals distinguish between the official bridge on the main road and an older one nearby.
