Snaefell is launched at Birkenhead (11-03-1948)

The Steam Packet vessel Snaefell launched at Birkenhead on 11 March 1948. The company has run the Douglas to Liverpool link since its first crossing on 17 August 1830, when Mona's Isle carried 15 saloon and 17 steerage passengers under Captain William Gill.
