oceanCARE Expedition Pt. 3 🌊⛵️ For the final leg abroad, our #oceanCARE boat Bris, headed to the Shetland Islands. On our crossing from the Orkneys, we were challenged by 3.3 knots of current from west and big seas but after drifting a few nautical miles east we ultimately arrived in Scalloway. Here, we collaborated with @greenerorkney to run another @mcs_uk survey and clean two beaches together with locals, one of them being in Hillswick, our next stop. As the locals assured us, we were blessed with an unusual amount of sun hours as we quickly sailed north to Hillswick to present our organization to @greenerorkney and @ncdcshetland
