After wrapping up our mission in Helnessund, the Fonn crew set sail 150 nautical miles south to our next cleaning area with @rydd_i_tide @handelensmiljofond - this time around the stunning island of Vega. We were lucky with the weather: perfect downwind conditions, sunshine, and calm seas made the journey down a joy. Once arrived, we got to work. The islands and bays west of Vega, especially around Søla, were heavily impacted by marine litter. In just 6 days, we removed over 5.3 tonnes of waste - including a massive 1.5-tonne trawling net.
