🌊 Around 80% of the waste we collect along Norway’s coast comes from the seafood industry. In 2024 we met with fishers, farmers, producers, suppliers and industry organisations across the country. Everyone acknowledged the problem, signaled they take it seriously, and wanted to take responsibility, but stressed it must be shared fairly. Many felt it should have been organised by the government. Since authorities aren’t stepping up, we created Plastic Free Seafood: a way for seafood companies to share the costs of cleanup and prevention. For each company the cost is minimal, but together it creates real resources to collect lost gea
