Some days, it feels impossible to keep going. When I read that global climate warming passed the 1.5 C degree threshold in 2024 already, when I see fishing nets choking another seabird on the beaches we clean or when new headlines celebrate “green growth” while billions are poured back into oil - the weight of it all feels crushing. Some days, I just want to walk away, curl up in my bed, close the curtains and pretend everything is fine. But then, I think of lil Lu. The kiddo that spent entire summers in the ocean, playing mermaids with her brother, collecting shells and building little rock homes for crabs - her salty bleached hair
