Six years ago, I became a part of a non-profit crew that cleans beaches in Arctic Norway, because I was tired of constantly paddling through plastic litter when surfing. Before coming to Norway I thought of it as this “postcard-perfect green” country. Instead, its remote coastlines were shockingly smothered with nets, bottles, bags, cans, ropes… The consequences of human activity. And studies say, that microplastics have been found in literally every corner of our planet - even in polar bears! Sometimes I wonder if we as a civilisation drifted so far, we no longer even recognise what we are destroying…, #noplanetb #surfergirl #plas
