Harvey Milk stands with his sister-in-law Audrey in front of Castro Camera, the shop on Castro Street that doubled as the base for his political organising. The snapshot was taken by a family member and supplied to the archive by Stuart Milk. It dates from the year Milk opened the store and first ran for office.
