The San Francisco Centre, opened in 1988 on Market Street and expanded in 2006, closed permanently on 24 January 2026, two days ahead of its announced date. Its owners had stopped paying the mortgage in 2023 and ceded the building to lenders; Nordstrom left in 2023 and Bloomingdale's in 2025.
