Robert Hass opens a Beat portrait exhibition

Robert Hass reads at the San Francisco Public Library on 25 March 2018, opening Christopher Felver's exhibition of forty years of photographic portraits of American poets. The show is itself an argument about the visual record of the scene, assembled long after the founding moment that no camera attended.
