The full officer staff of the Presidio of San Francisco assembled for a panoramic group portrait on New Year's Day, 1919, weeks after the armistice. The post commanded a ring of coastal fortifications including Fort Mason, Fort Barry, Fort Miley and Alcatraz. The photograph is held in NPGallery.
