Operation Sola Stella 2022 - Protecting Liberia's Water from Illegal Fishing

Since 2017, Sea Shepherd has partnered with the Liberian Ministry of National Defense to fight illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing in the West African coastal waters of Liberia. This successful campaign, named Operation Sola Stella, has resulted in the arrest of over a dozen illegal fishing vessels. And our continued presence in Liberian waters ensures that they do not come back.
