Costumed marchers in gold and green, Street Parade 2007

A group in gold and green costume walks the closed route ahead of the trucks. The founding permit described the event as a demonstration for love, peace, freedom, generosity and tolerance, and costumed self-presentation has stood in for placards ever since. In 2007 the parade drew roughly 800,000 people.
