A yellow-liveried Lovemobile, its truck bed built out into a scaffold sound tower, grinds along the route above the crowd. Lovemobiles, decorated trucks each carrying a sound system and its own DJs, have been the signature of the parade since the first two rolled in 1992. By the 2000s several dozen were licensed each year.
