Juan Atkins, born 9 December 1962, is alive and working, with dates listed into 2026 and 2027. He founded Cybotron in 1980 with Richard "3070" Davis and left in 1985 over creative differences. Metroplex followed in 1985, its first release M-001 being Model 500's "No UFO's" in April of that year.
