Juan Atkins, Derrick May and Kevin Saunderson in conversation at the Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit. All three attended Belleville High School outside the city, but the "Belleville Three" name came from the UK: Wikipedia credits the British press and Eddie Fowlkes credits the promoter Neil Rushton specifically. They did not perform together under it until 2017.
