The companies themselves as businesses and as buildings: Toei, Mushi, Madhouse, Bones, Kyoto Animation, Trigger, MAPPA, Ufotable, and the museums that now hold their history. Kyoto Animation lost 36 people to arson in July 2019; the studio and its work are named here, and images of the aftermath are not used.
