In January 2025 a shark in Nike shoes appeared on TikTok with a text-to-speech voice rhyming nonsense in Italian, and within weeks there were dozens: a crocodile that is also a bomber, a ballerina with a cappuccino for a head, a monkey made of forest, a wooden drum with a baseball bat. The formula was fixed and endlessly repeatable, an absurd AI hybrid, a mock-Italian name that means nothing, a rhyming voice. The biggest of them, Tung Tung Tung Sahur, has its own archive.
