Trailers
The marketing as its own object. Rockstar's trailers have their own release-day culture, and the numbers around them need care: the first sixth-game trailer's ninety million views in twenty-four hours is Guinness-adjudicated on YouTube, while the second's larger figure is cross-platform and Rockstar's own claim. They are not comparable and are not presented as such.

- - GTA San Andreas Official Trailer (Xbox). The official San Andreas trailer from 2004. The game was the largest of the three RenderWare titles, set across a fictionalised California and Nevada in the early 1990s.
- - Grand Theft Auto IV Trailer 1 "Things Will Be Different". The first trailer for Grand Theft Auto IV returned the series to Liberty City with a markedly more sober tone. Its 2008 release is the occasion of Jack Thompson's remark calling the game the gravest assault upon children since polio.

- - Grand Theft Auto VI: Official Cover Art Reveal. Rockstar reveals the cover art for a game announced for 19 November 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S. No PC version has been announced. The date follows two delays from an initial Fall 2025 window.
