Climbing Luna (Dec 1997)
On 10 December 1997, Julia climbed about 180 feet up a roughly 1,500-year-old redwood the activists had named "Luna", onto a tiny tarp-covered platform. She intended to stay a week or two. She would not set foot on the ground again for over two years.
