- — Lopön Tsechu Rinpoche passes away. On 10 June 2003 Lopön Tsechu Rinpoche passed away at the age of 85, having built 17 stupas in the West. That same summer, on his 88th parachute jump, Lama Ole met with a life-threatening accident and had to cancel his lecture tour.
