Traditions
Medical systems outside the European lineage: Traditional Chinese medicine and acupuncture, Ayurveda and the Sushruta Samhita, Unani and the physicians of the Islamic Golden Age, Kampo, Tibetan and African healing. Coverage is uneven and the reason is itself a finding: much of what the free record holds was collected by colonial institutions, and a lot of it cannot be shown without using people as specimens.
