Feast and Devotion
The practice. His feast was 24 October until 1969, when Michael, Gabriel and Raphael were folded into a single day on 29 September, a change many devotees still feel. The Coptic and Ethiopian calendars keep him monthly. Plus the novenas, the confraternities, the prayers for a safe journey, and the devotion for finding a spouse that comes straight out of the Sarah story.
