How many green sea turtles can you spot? 💚 On one trip through Aldabra’s lagoon and mangroves: green sea turtles, a stingray, a lemon shark, red-footed boobies. Different species sharing the same space. This is their home. This is what a healthy ecosystem looks like. On World Sea Turtle Day, we think about everything a sea turtle faces just to survive. They hatch here, swim thousands of miles across the ocean, and then - years, sometimes decades later - find their way back to lay their own eggs. That instinct, that journey, depends on places like this still being here. 🌊 Aldabra’s remoteness has preserved it. There are places where we need to draw a line and accept that some things matter more than short term profit..
