A lot of people think Burning Man is just a massive party in the desert or some utopian social experiment, but it’s so much more than that. I hope this video offers a little bit of a different perspective on Burning Man and what Black Rock City is all about, beyond the partying, the tough conditions, and the way the media covers it all. This year, I followed the story of one art piece on the playa created by Eli Rogers, the man who locked himself in a jail cell for the week. In this video, we get to hear from Eli about why he chose to do this, and we witness the moment he was freed from jail, after the man burned.
