Twenty two consecutive nights. And the movement just keeps growing. Members of the Albanian diaspora flew home from across the world just to join the marches. Protesters released red balloons and chanted "Albania is not for sale" — words that were projected directly onto the Prime Minister's office wall. (Washington Times) One Albanian American whose family emigrated when she was 11 years old told reporters: "This government no longer represents us. It has chosen to represent oligarch investors. These protests are not going to stop." (MS NOW) Ivanka Trump described the island as something she and Kushner "found" from a friend's boat. Many Albanians were not impressed. "It wasn't so nice having somebody talk about our own land as if it had just been discovered," one protester said. (CNBC) No public consultation ever took place. One day bulldozers simply appeared — opening roads, cutting trees and destroying sand dunes. Nobody was informed. (CBS News) What started as an environmental protest has become something much bigger. An entire nation demanding to be heard. Whose side are you on? Drop it below. #flamingorevolution #albania #ivankatrump #shqiperia #shqiperi
