This week, five members of the European Parliament 🇪🇺 came to Tirana 🇦🇱 to see the Zvërnec coastline for themselves 🦩 I sat down with Dutch MEP @annastrolenberg (Volt, Greens/EFA) right after their press conference. I asked her the question I keep getting from people here: some feel hopeful this fight is winnable, others feel like it’s pointless. Here’s what she told me. She was honest that the European Parliament can keep pressuring the European Commission, but they can’t force Albania to change its own laws.
