The bust believed to be Tanit
4th century BC
A terracotta bust of a female figure, thought to represent the goddess Tanit, excavated from the Puig des Molins necropolis and dated to the 4th century BC. Tanit was the chief deity of Punic Ibiza; the island's Roman name, Ebusus, and its modern one both descend from that settlement.
