Before that day, I had never even seen real ice and stood there completely in awe - until our guide told us that it’s rapidly disappearing and that by next season, this ice cave might already be gone. Svalbard is warming 5–7x faster than the rest of the planet!! And what happens in Svalbard doesn’t stay in Svalbard. I know, the Arctic seems like this distant, abstract crisis. But it’s the Earth’s cooling system! When it melts, sea levels rise, weather patterns destabilise, and extreme events intensify everywhere - not just here. I got to experience something insanely beautiful - and it might be gone soon. So I am doing what I can, u
