Right lads - Day 5 - and we had finally arrived in Longyearbyen, the world’s northernmost town 🌊❄️⛵️ This journey was one of the memorable times for me this year. And what a journey it had been: seasickness, snow, drift ice, endless open ocean and all! (Although I was one of the lucky few in the crew who actually didn’t get seasick - thank gawddd!) Five days of learning how small a boat can feel, how big the sea really is, and how far north you can travel. Exhausted, in awe, and changed in quiet ways, we had stepped ashore in Svalbard ❤️ And everything that happened on that wee (actually not so wee) island is a whole other story… 😊
