Why do we care for the ocean? 🌊 The ocean is home to 249,000 known species, with millions more still undiscovered. This incredible biodiversity is Earth’s richest: a living network that supports climate balance, produces much of the oxygen we breathe, and sustains life far beyond the shoreline. But it’s also fragile. Pollution, climate change, and overuse are pushing this system to its limits. That’s why at ITSB we care. We believe that understanding leads to protection.
