A lateen-rigged fishing felucca of the San Francisco fleet
1890
A drawing of a San Francisco fishing felucca, the lateen-rigged boat brought to the bay by Italian fishermen and used to work the local grounds. It was published by Joseph William Collins in Fishing Vessels and Boats of the Pacific Coast, a United States Fish Commission bulletin. The type gave Fisherman's Wharf its early character.
