Lincoln Cushing on the home front that remade Bay Area labor

Historian Lincoln Cushing presents for the Rosie the Riveter Trust on the wartime home front seen through the Kaiser shipyards at Richmond. The period reshaped labor organising, race and gender relations, and health care, with the Permanente Health Plan opening to the general public on 21 July 1945. The Richmond yards delivered 747 ships before closing in 1945 and 1946.
