Newton's alchemy digitised — and reconstructed

The Chymistry of Isaac Newton project digitises and transcribes his vast hidden alchemical corpus, putting more than a million words online. Historians Lawrence Principe and William Newman go further — actually performing Newton's recipes at the bench, proving that "alchemy" was rigorous, repeatable experimental chemistry. The last of the magicians is reappraised as a chymist.
