Hospital letter about an interned German at Angel Island

Correspondence from a German hospital to the Commissioner of Immigration at the Angel Island station concerning Ernst Hamann. Hamann reached the United States days after President Wilson's enemy alien proclamation of 6 April 1917 and was interned in San Francisco Bay.
