UNESCO is meeting in Busan, Republic of Korea right now to discuss the conservation status of their World Heritage Sites. And Aldabra Atoll is not on the agenda. WHY ⁉️ We have been reaching out to UNESCO for 2 years, asking them to speak out and protect one of their own World Heritage sites, Aldabra Atoll in the Seychelles. In return, we have been met with silence and this recent email “Aldabra Atoll...will not be part of the Committee’s agenda”. No explanation offered. There are 400+ species found nowhere else in the world that are facing severe risks, risks that are getting graver with each passing day. Aldabra Atoll should be at the top of their priorities to discuss. Help us tell UNESCO that silence is betrayal and that Aldabra deserves better. TAKE ACTION: Let’s keep the pressure on with @chilli.app 🌶️ Comment below and we’ll DM you a link. #ProtectAldabra #ProtectAssomption #ProtectSeychelles #UNESCO
